Dialogue 2

David transformed a fledgling children’s museum into THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener. He lead the organization through a rebrand after introducing cross-generational programming such as Discovering Chimpanzees: The Remarkable World of Jane Goodall, The Art, Inspiration & Appropriation of Andy Warhol, Yoko Ono’s Add Colour, the North American premiere of Treasures of China Featuring the Rock Carvings of Dazu, and most recently Getting Naked.

THEMUSEUM is now a vibrant art and culture hub that welcomes 90,000 visitors annually. David continues to dream big, encourages creativity and take risks in his leadership role. As a volunteer David is currently on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Museum Association.

Prior to working at THEMUSEUM, he was Director of Marketing, for the Exhibition Place. At Walt Disney he worked on their millennium project. He then honed his skills as Chief of Staff for a Cabinet Minister – he calls this his dark years. At Ontario Place David spearheaded the successful Chinese Lantern Festival.
